Key Responsibilities
- Teller Processing
- Handle cash deposits and withdrawals.
- Process EFTs and internal transfers.
- Manage account closures and inter‑system transfers.
- Resolve unpaid debit orders and reverse fees.
- Conduct foreign exchange transactions.
- Ensure end‑of‑day balances are processed.
- Verify and authorise deposit and withdrawal slips.
- Count and verify physical cash, spotting counterfeit or damaged notes.
- Stamp, date, and sign transaction slips.
- Maintain zero teller differences.
- Process transactions for service centres.
- Teller Administration
- Maintain daily petty cash.
- Scan and upload documents to Docuware and SharePoint.
- Report suspicious transactions.
- Capture GDA EFTs on Corporate Plus.
- Maintain standing profit instructions and debit orders.
- Organise and sort daily reconciliations.
- Update teller statistics and treasury limits on SharePoint.
- Compile and balance treasury reports.
- Manage account closures, payment requisitions, and special conditions.
- Forex
- Complete all required documentation for forex deals.
- Process foreign exchange transactions and balance foreign currency at day‑end.
- Follow Exchange Control rulings and report suspicious trades.
- Communicate with clients about forex matters.
- Assist clients with the Vivier Resident Foreign Currency Account.
- Enquiries Administration
- Provide statements and assist with deposit/withdrawal slips.
- Support transactional banking services (card replacements, PIN changes, internet banking).
- Help with online statement registration and deceased client accounts.
- Update client information, including FICA and personal details.
- Assist with mobile app registrations and queries.
- Prepare client letters and maintain the visitor’s register.
- Print daily TB reports.
- Act as a service point of contact for service centres.
- Customer Service
- Deliver professional and efficient client service.
- Participate in cross‑selling bank products.
- Keep the banking hall presentable.
- Address client complaints and refer to consultants.
- Compliance
- Follow all bank procedures and compliance regulations.
- Ensure proper identification and verification for all transactions.
- General
- Perform security checks on ATMs.
- Assist with back‑office functions and special projects.
- Order and manage branch stationery.
- Act as Co‑Custodian for Treasury.
Requirements
- Appropriate banking qualification required.
- 1–2 years of general banking experience or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and banks operating systems.
- Knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with GTS – Lexis Nexis and DHA.
