Job Purpose

Ensure the warehouse distribution and administrative functions work smoothly so that stock is supplied to depots and direct customers on time and beyond expected service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Safety

Follow all safety rules in the distribution centre and promote the 12 lifesaving rules.

Logistics Service Provider Contract Management

Record third‑party logistics (3PL) OTIF performances, report to the shift controller and inform the transport controller of any late arrivals.

Daily Logistics Capacity Planning

Handle call‑offs from suppliers, react quickly when stock is at risk, raise critical issues when needed, and communicate any impacts to stakeholders.

OPEX

Contribute to cost‑saving initiatives, keep departmental assets up to date, help prepare the administrative budget, and keep COUPA spending within monthly commitments.

Operational Objectives & KPIs

Understand site objectives and add value, monitor supplier performance, use 5‑why problem‑solving, meet key performance indicators, implement 5S, maintain document control, run traceability mock recalls, and process STO for BLE and export markets.

Operational Planning & Execution

Control stock movements by generating export documentation, ensuring the system reflects real‑time stock, leading CHEP stock counts, conducting job observations, providing online training, shipping orders on time, performing ICC reviews, managing non‑conformance, upholding financial controls, following sourcing procedures, using COUPA for outsourced labour, applying TPM practices, meeting SLAs, building relationships with customers and suppliers, fostering innovation, and resolving STO queries within 48 hours.

TPM & Continuous Improvement

Complete required learning courses, record logistics KPIs, and update DCS charts.

Leadership & Collaboration

Collaborate across departments, lead 5‑why problem‑solving sessions.

Job Requirements

• A qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in warehousing or distribution.
• Proficient with SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Computer literacy and a proactive attitude.
