About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Retail Sales Associate to join our Adidas team in Sandton. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to launch your career with a leading global brand. You will play a key role in supporting our store’s daily operations and delivering the exceptional standard of service that our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing outstanding customer service and ensuring every customer receives the highest level of adidas care.
- Processing sales transactions efficiently, handling various payment methods including cash, credit, and checks.
- Assisting with the receiving of new stock, including checking incoming items against paperwork and helping with product ticketing.
- Supporting the flow of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor to ensure products are available for customers.
- Helping to create and maintain attractive product displays as directed by store management.
- Learning and becoming proficient with our point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.
- Using effective selling techniques to enhance the customer experience, such as suggesting add-on items and explaining product features.
- Greeting customers as they enter the store and helping them find what they need; during busy periods, you may primarily serve as a greeter at the entrance.
- Maintaining the store’s general cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
- Playing a part in protecting company assets and minimizing stock loss (shrinkage).
