About the Role
The Accounts Clerk will serve as the guardian of our local creditor relationships, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all supplier invoices and payments. This role is part of the Shared Services division and supports Barloworld Equipment’s commitment to strong financial controls and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all local creditor invoices for South Africa, Lesotho, and Swaziland using SAP/VIM.
- Handle inter‑company invoices and provide monthly balance confirmations on schedule.
- Reconcile vendor accounts each month and maintain accurate GR/IR balances.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash forecasts, keeping deviations within acceptable limits.
- Run vendor payments and send remittance advices promptly to suppliers.
- Record monthly accruals and ensure all supporting documents are available for audit.
- Follow up on invoice and payment queries with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Respond to ad‑hoc requests from management and the business unit.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable environment.
- BCom, Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent bookkeeping qualification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of SAP and VIM systems.
- Good understanding of tax processes and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
