About the Role

This role supports general site activities, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining safety and quality standards. You will work closely with your immediate supervisor to meet daily operational targets and help with problem‑solving on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the supervisor to reach operational targets.
• Carry out daily inspections of your designated area.
• Plan and manage tailings material on site and at deposition areas.
• Extend and connect pipelines.
• Open and close valves as required by operational plans.
• Follow task instructions given by the supervisor.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational challenges and report deviations.
• Perform Mud Guard duties: monitor tailings dam levels and ensure dam integrity.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times.
• Strictly adhere to all safety rules, legislation and company procedures.
• Attend toolbox talks and team meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (high school) certificate.
• At least one year of relevant experience.

Skills and Qualities

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Teamwork capability and keen observation.
• Good listening skills.

General Requirements

• Pass criminal screening and background checks.
• Physically, mentally and medically fit to meet company standards.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Availability for overtime when required.
