This initiative offers young people with limited formal work experience the opportunity to enhance their employability while gaining practical skills in the banking sector.

This programme is designed for mature, young individuals who are self-starters, motivated, proactive, energetic, resilient, and driven to succeed. Each role presents unique challenges and opportunities with specific targets to achieve. We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about sales, excel in customer service, and possess excellent communication skills.

Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 18 and 34 years of age
- Be a South African citizen
- Have a minimum matric certificate (further studies – certificates and diplomas equal to NQF 5 and 6 are accepted)
- Have been unemployed for at least the last 6 months
- Not currently studying
- Have little or no formal work experience (less than twelve months total work experience, preferably part-time or casual nature)
- This must be the youth’s FIRST job experience
- Not have previously participated in the FirstJob programme at any FirstRand franchises
- Not have worked for FirstRand before
- Have a good command of the English language
- Not have a criminal record
- Not be blacklisted
- Be willing to complete a learnership while gaining work experience
