Minimum Requirements
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You need your Grade 11 final results or Grade 12 certificate.
- You must have conditional acceptance to study one of the specified engineering fields at a public university or university of technology.
- You must not be registered at another tertiary institution or hold any other bursary.
These requirements ensure that the bursary goes to dedicated students who are starting their tertiary education in engineering and are fully committed to their studies.
Academic Criteria
For University Applicants (BEng/BSc Degrees)
- English: Level 4
- Pure Mathematics: Level 5
- Physical Science: Level 5
For University of Technology Applicants (Diplomas)
- English: Level 4
- Pure Mathematics: Level 4
- Physical Science: Level 4
Note: Your Grade 11 year-end results that meet these levels will be accepted for initial consideration. However, the final selection will be based on your 2025 matric results. This approach allows promising students to apply early while ensuring the best academic performers are selected.
