Job Overview
Dis‑Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Store Driver to join our team at Vaal Mall. The role involves delivering goods to customers quickly, safely and with a high level of professionalism. You will be representing our “Local Choice Corporate Stores” brand and providing excellent customer service at every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver products to customer locations on time and in good condition.
- Handle fridge‑line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs.
- Ensure accurate product delivery and collect all signed paperwork.
- Return to the store immediately after each delivery and keep the vehicle tidy and secure.
- Manage cash and product receipts responsibly and submit the cash‑outs accurately.
- Plan efficient routes for all deliveries.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
- Follow company vehicle policies and complete vehicle logbooks accurately.
- Process payments via EFT or cash (cheques not accepted).
- Maintain customer service standards and handle complaints professionally.
- Abide by all road traffic regulations and report incidents promptly.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and company policies, including the uniform policy.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Valid South African Driver’s License.
- Good physical health and eyesight.
- South African citizenship or a valid work permit.
- Own reliable transport.
- Clear credit and criminal record.
- Willingness to perform additional store duties when required.
