About the Role

As a Betting Clerk you will manage the day‑to‑day operations of our branch, ensuring smooth betting, excellent customer service, accurate cash handling and compliance with all internal controls. You will be an essential part of Hollywoodbets’ “Purple Team” and contribute to the growth of one of South Africa’s biggest gaming brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Branch Growth – Keep betting boards updated, post results, scratchouts, and any changes to memos or cards throughout the day. Remain knowledgeable about betting rules, odds, and payouts.
• Sales Administration – Manage cash according to company procedures, minimise risks of theft or fraud and keep accurate float at the start of each shift. Perform interim cash checks and report any shortages or overs to the team leader or manager.
• Cash Management – Ensure float is correct at shift start, balance cash at day end, and handle cash shortages (≤ R250) on the same day. Record all adjustments correctly on the reconciliation.
• Branch Appearance – Keep the branch neat, tidy and in line with Hollywoodbets’ standards. Maintain workstations and report any equipment or terminal problems promptly.
• Customer Service – Provide friendly, helpful and courteous service. Resolve complaints quickly, give positive feedback and build lasting relationships with regular customers.
• Compliance – Follow all internal control policies and the code of ethics. Escalate any fraudulent activity and ensure credit bets are not taken. Wear the correct uniform on duty, and never use the Limited Pay‑out machine or work behind terminals when off‑duty.
• Values & Leadership – Promote Hollywoodbets’ values, lead by example and support team members in doing the same.

Required Qualifications

• Matric (or equivalent)
• 1–2 years’ experience in the gaming industry (preferred)
• Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
• Related diploma or degree (preferred)
