Job Purpose
Repair and maintain the water network, including pipes, valves, air valves, water meters and fire hydrants, and help upgrade the water distribution system.
Minimum Requirements
- Trade Certificate: Plumber (Red Seal)
- At least 2 years of municipal water network maintenance experience
- Code C1 driver’s licence with a valid PrDP
- Physically fit, capable of continuous manual work
- May need a criminal record check (fingerprinting at own cost)
- Willing to work standby and overtime when required

Key Duties
- Locate and repair water leaks
- Maintain and replace water meters
- Implement upgrades to the water distribution network
- Excavate trenches using labour or mechanical equipment
- Backfill trenches and ensure proper site reinstatement and cleaning
- Complete administrative tasks, including timesheets and job cards
