Job Purpose
The City of Tshwane is inviting applications for 100 Cleaner positions. Selected candidates will perform routine cleaning and ad‑hoc removal tasks across city facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant working environment for staff and visitors.
Minimum Requirements
- Basic literacy skills and ability to perform cleaning duties effectively.
- Relevant experience in office cleaning or facility maintenance is an advantage.
- Experience in gardening duties is a plus.
- Physically fit and in good health, able to carry out continuous physical tasks.
- Willingness to be deployed anywhere within the City of Tshwane as directed by management.

Key Responsibilities
Clean offices, hallways, passageways, lifts, stairways, toilets, washrooms, kitchens, and office equipment.
Maintain gardens, parking areas and outdoor spaces – sweeping, raking, scrubbing, polishing, sealing, and vacuuming.
Empty and clean waste bins and ashtrays.
Clean windows, walls, and vehicles.
Refill soap dispensers, paper holders and deodorant blocks.
Collect and sort recyclable paper within city premises.
Provide ad‑hoc removal services as required.
Note: Duties may be adjusted within the scope of the position based on operational needs.
