About the YES Programme

The YES Programme is a government‑partnered initiative designed to reduce youth unemployment. For the 2025/2026 cohort, BIL offers a structured 12‑month training and work experience package that includes:

  • 25 learning modules – a mix of theory, practical skills, and real‑time exposure in logistics operations.
  • Hands‑on training delivered at the Super Terminal Jacobs and in satellite locations.
  • Mentorship from senior logistics professionals.
  • A final portfolio of completed e‑learning evidence and on‑the‑job assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commit to the full 12‑month programme and complete all modules on the YES platform.
  • Participate in scheduled workshops, on‑the‑job training and performance reviews.
  • Maintain a log of learning activities and evidence for final portfolio submission.
  • Adhere to BIL’s health, safety and conduct policies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • South African citizenship.
  • Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Unemployed and not registered for academic studies in 2026 or during the programme.
  • No prior participation in a YES Programme with any company.
  • Alignment with the Programme’s equity, diversity, and inclusion (EE) requirements.
  • Full‑time availability for the full 12‑month period.
