About the Programme
Lindsay Saker VW Alberton, in partnership with the Motus Technical Training Academy (MTTA), presents a comprehensive Competency-Based Modular Training (CBMT) apprenticeship. This 4-year structured programme combines hands-on workshop experience with accredited technical education, preparing candidates for qualification as certified Motor Vehicle Mechanics.
Programme Structure
- 4-year learnership contract with merSETA accreditation
- Progressive training across 4 competency levels
- 5-day residential training blocks every 5 weeks at MTTA facilities
- Interactive distance learning through CDX platform (video demonstrations, quizzes, practical exercises)
- Combination of computer-based exams and practical assessments
- On-site training at Lindsay Saker VW service departments
- Portfolio development for national certification
Candidate Requirements
- Matric Certificate with Mathematics & Physical Science (50%+ minimum) OR N2 Certificate with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English
- Valid South African driver’s licence
- Basic computer literacy (email, online platforms, MS Office)
- Successful completion of mechanical aptitude testing
- Clear criminal record and medical fitness certificate
- Willingness to complete psychometric evaluations

Remuneration & Benefits
