About the Role
We are looking for two motivated apprentices to join our team as Millwrights. This learning role provides hands‑on experience in hydraulic and electrical systems, preparing you for a full qualification as a Millwright.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install hydraulic systems following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Diagnose and repair issues in hydraulic systems, performing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Replace worn or damaged components such as pumps, valves, hoses, and fittings.
- Build and wire electrical control panels, mounting circuit breakers, relays, and terminal blocks, and wiring components according to schematic diagrams.
- Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in hydraulic and electrical systems, determining root causes and implementing solutions.
- Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards while working with hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and component inventories.
- Provide technical assistance and support to customers and internal teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric or Technical N3 with a background in Maths, Science, Technical Drawings, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least two years of practical training from a QCTO‑registered trade school.
- Completion of institute training programme.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of hydraulics is an advantage.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electrical assembly is an advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and under pressure.
- Own transport.
- Medically fit.
