About the Role

The Fuel Distribution Officer ensures that fuel deliveries are executed accurately, on time, and safely across Sasol’s retail and commercial network. The role involves coordinating deliveries, managing own fleet, and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute timely and accurate fuel delivery schedules.
  • Maintain the company fleet and complete pre‑trip inspections, reporting any defects.
  • Use Fuel facs and Renaissance software for loading instructions.
  • Communicate with the Logistics Command Centre for any deviations.
  • Submit accurate shipment details and record reasons for gains or losses.
  • Follow delivery sequences to minimize unproductive time.
  • Identify operational risks (including OHS requirements) and report to the line manager.
  • Log and participate in incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
  • Avoid spillages and contamination during deliveries.
  • Adhere to site, operational, and SHERQ procedures.

Requirements

Education

Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).

Licences & Certifications

  • Code EC (Code 14) driver’s licence.
  • Valid professional driver permit (PrDP).
  • Dangerous goods certificate – Hazchem.

Experience

At least 2–5 years of driving experience within the petroleum industry.
