Job Overview

The City of Johannesburg’s Social Development Department invites applications for an internship that will provide essential administrative and logistical support to the Integrated Policy Planning and Research (IPPR) unit. The position lasts up to 18 months and offers practical exposure to policy development, research processes and intergovernmental relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage documents, schedules and data entry for the IPPR team.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, workshops and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with basic financial tasks and office supply management.
  • Support daily operations to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Gain exposure to intergovernmental relations, policy development and research procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma in Public Administration, Public Management, Economics or Social Sciences (NQF Level 6 or higher).
  • Only residents of the City of Johannesburg are eligible.
  • Qualification must include a minimum of 360 credits if completed.

Remuneration

Basic salary of R10 109,86 per month (subject to completion of the qualification).
