Position Summary

Henwil Chickens is seeking a dedicated Store Assistant for our Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will manage maintenance spares, maintain accurate records, and support the team in a fast‑paced environment. Attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and strong organisational skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain job cards.
• Issue stock and keep detailed records of all transactions.
• Manage stock levels and perform regular monitoring.
• Assist with monthly stock takes.
• Provide support inside and outside the workshop as required.
• Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of the storeroom.
• Keep the work area orderly, clean, and tidy.
• Follow instructions from the Stock Controller.
• Be available for overtime duties.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification (essential).
• Knowledge of maintenance spares and tools.
• Previous experience in a storeroom is an advantage.
• Valid forklift licence is an advantage.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Hardworking, honest, and self‑motivated.
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Good communication skills.
