Job Description
This apprenticeship is a great opportunity for someone interested in becoming a motor mechanic technician. As an Apprentice Level 1, you will work under the guidance of a Technician and the Service Manager to perform a range of vehicle repair tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with vehicle repairs under a Technician’s supervision.
- Remove and replace parts and units on vehicles.
- Jack up vehicles, set and secure trestles.
- Lubricate and change oils according to manufacturer specifications.
- Remove and replace wheels, air and oil filters.
- Fit batteries and maintain clean parts.
- Help with general vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Keep tools, equipment and work area clean and organized.
- Attend required technical and level courses.
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Preference for candidates holding a Motor Mechanic Trade qualification.
- Avalid Driver’s License is an added advantage.
- Clear criminal record.
- Technical skills are advantageous.
- Good customer orientation and the ability to work well in a team.
