VKB Milling is a subsidiary of VKB Agri Processors (Pty) Ltd. We operate white maize mills in Mokopane, Louis Trichardt and Mashishing, a wheat mill in Frankfort, and have a bakery in the Free State. Employees have the chance to develop skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Job Overview

The Load Master – or Floor Assistant – is essential for safe, accurate, and efficient loading and unloading of goods. This role demands precision, coordination with drivers, warehouse staff, and operations teams, and adherence to safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee load and unload operations.
• Ensure proper weight distribution and secure loading following safety standards.
• Inspect cargo and documentation for accuracy before dispatch.
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff.
• Maintain accurate records of loads and movements and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Report damages, deviations, or incidents during loading/unloading.
• Promote a safe working environment and uphold company values.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF4 with numerical ability and PC literacy.
• 2–3 years of experience in transport, warehousing, or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of load planning, weight distribution and safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy duties.
• Clear criminal record.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays as per roster.
