Description
The Operations Support Agent will help keep FedEx’s air and ground networks running smoothly. You will work across a variety of support functions, including:
- Air Network Support – ensuring flight schedules and cargo handling meet standards.
- Dispatch & Administration – coordinating shipments, creating manifests, and managing documentation.
- Customer Service – addressing client questions and providing timely updates.
- Service Assurance – monitoring performance and resolving issues before they affect service.
- Cross‑Border and Domestic Haul – supporting road and air linehaul operations.
- Reporting and Trace Management – maintaining accurate records and reporting key metrics.
In all tasks, you will follow established procedures, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance. When you encounter a problem that cannot be solved within the standard rules, you will use your judgement and involve senior team members as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily operational requests such as manifest creation, tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate with team members across air, road, and customer‑service departments.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide accurate, up‑to‑date information.
- Identify anomalies or irregularities and apply corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation integrity in line with FedEx policies and legal requirements.
- Support Dangerous Goods handling procedures when required.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and rigorous accuracy.
- Good command of Microsoft Office and general PC skills.
- Planning and organisation skills – able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – clear communication with colleagues and customers.
- Problem‑solving capabilities – identify issues and determine practical solutions.
- A high‑school diploma or equivalent; college education or related industry experience is an advantage.
