Role Summary

We are looking for a temporary Receptionist / Office Administrator to support management, handle front‑office duties, and assist the Service Department. This entry‑level role is ideal for someone who is organised, customer‑focused, and eager to grow in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to heads of departments, including scheduling, meeting coordination and travel arrangements.
  • Assist in organising company events and prepare relevant paperwork for mine customer visits when required.
  • Handle reception duties as the front office for Normet Africa, directing customer and internal queries efficiently.
  • Manage service‑department paperwork: file invoices, capture orders, process quotations, and maintain technician job cards.
  • Compile overtime data with the Service Manager and provide temporary coverage during vacations.
  • Maintain accurate records on the Smart Care platform.
  • Process invoices for assigned accounts and support other administrative projects from various departments.
  • Place, track and manage bi‑monthly or monthly office supply orders, keeping stock levels adequate.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Grade 12 (or equivalent).

Technical skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with phone systems, copiers, and printers.
  • Basic data entry and report compilation.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with in‑house accounting software such as Pastel or Sage Evolution.
  • Experience with industry‑specific software or desktop publishing.
