About the Role

The Receptionist is the first point of contact on campus, welcoming visitors, handling telephone calls, and ensuring the front desk runs smoothly. The role includes a mix of customer service, administration, and support tasks for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front Desk & Switchboard – Keep the reception area neat and orderly. Answer the phone promptly, screen calls, and direct them to the right person. Take clear messages and deliver them when staff are unavailable.
  • Visitors & Customer Service – Greet guests with a friendly welcome, offer tea or coffee, and provide information about the school. Resolve enquiries quickly and follow up via the system.
  • Housekeeping – Maintain a professional look for the office; keep brochures, flyers, and brochures tidy. Restock supplies as needed.
  • Mail & Courier – Sort and manage incoming mail. Record deliveries, keep a tracking log, and arrange transport for events.
  • Administration – Handle routine admin tasks: update telephone extension lists, manage boardroom bookings, process forms and applications, and maintain the student sign‑out list.
  • Supporting Quality & Feedback – Submit customer feedback reports to the principal and keep the customer database up to date.
  • General Support – Provide first aid, conduct temperature checks, assist with admissions and tours, and help with campus events as required.

Qualifications

Minimum: Matric or equivalent with typing skills. Computer literacy in MS Office essential.

Experience

At least 3 years in a similar busy environment. Familiarity with “STASY” Student Administration System or a comparable system. Experience with MS Access is a plus.
