Internship: PWD Coordinator
Department: Social Development – Targeted Beneficiaries Unit

Remuneration: R10 109,86 per month (basic salary only, no benefits)
About the Role
You will coordinate and implement social development programmes and projects that support Persons with Disabilities (PWD). Your day‑to‑day tasks will include:
- Planning and delivering development programmes for PWD.
- Providing administrative support to the Unit.
- Co‑ordinating with internal and external stakeholders to integrate services for PWD, in line with City of Johannesburg policies.
Key Learning Areas
- Implementation of development programmes for Persons with Disabilities.
- Administrative support in a social development setting.
- Stakeholder liaison and service integration.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12.
- BA in Social Sciences (NQF Level 7) – minimum 360 credits.
- Only residents of the City of Johannesburg will be considered.
Leading Competencies
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Experience working with communities and Persons with Disabilities.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Presentation and public speaking skills.
- Multilingual ability.
- Accountable and able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

- Knowledge of Council processes and policies.
- Understanding of social/community development and project management.
- Customer relations skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
