About the Role
The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is seeking highly motivated individuals for general orchard duties at our Tropical & Subtropical Crops (ARC‑TSC) research site. These positions are part‑time casual roles, each lasting for a 3‑month fixed term.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine orchard tasks and maintenance.
- Carry out manual duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Protect field trials from animal interference.
- Use and maintain tools and equipment as provided.
- Follow Occupational Health & Safety instructions.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education and basic understanding of agricultural practices.
- Basic knowledge of manual operation of farm equipment and machinery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
