What the Bursary Covers
The scheme provides full funding for higher‑education study for previously disadvantaged students who meet the academic criteria described below.
Eligible Qualifications
- BSc / B.Eng. Electrical Engineering (Heavy and Light Current)
- BSc / B.Eng. Electronic / Engineering
- Bachelor Of Engineering: Technology – Electrical and Mechatronics
- B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Mechatronics)
- Bachelor in Computer Science and Information Technology
Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum academic average of 65 % or above in the year you are applying (grade 12 or tertiary level).
- Full‑time study in one of the above fields of study.
- The university must be a locally recognised training institution.
- Proof of acceptance by the training institution is required before the bursary can be awarded.
- Applicants must not be receiving any other funding, such as other bursaries or the NSFAS.
Application Process
Students who meet the eligibility criteria may apply by submitting the following supporting documents:
- Motivation Letter
- Curriculum Vitae
- Identity document (ID)
- Full tertiary academic record
After you submit your application, a Siemens Recruiter/Bursary Coordinator will contact you for a virtual video interview. Successful candidates will be awarded a bursary for the specific year of study.
Additional Information
Applicants will be required to work for Siemens during vacation periods.
