About the Job
This role is essential to maintaining the daily production targets in our bread packing line. The successful candidate will help ensure that every product that leaves the factory meets our high standards of quality and safety.
Main Objectives
- Meet full and on‑time daily production targets for the bread packing line.
- Maintain product integrity at all times – the Premier way.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the production line clean and organised to support quality standards.
- Follow all company rules, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Assist with scheduled maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Accurately record production data and manage inventory.
- Follow SOPs for hygiene, housekeeping and food safety.
- Handle safe stacking of crates and picking of stock.
- Repair or rework damaged packaging as necessary.
Skills and Attributes
- Operate and maintain scales and other packing equipment safely.
- Understand the basic production process and quality principles.
- Pay strong attention to detail and keep accurate records.
- Convert units and calculate batch requirements accurately.
- Have basic numerical skills.
- Show a willingness to learn and improve.

Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent).
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in the FMCG industry (bread or similar).

- Accurate production and inventory records.
- Clean and well‑maintained work area.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work in a factory environment – hot, noisy and dusty.
- Willingness to work overtime, including after hours, weekends and public holidays.
- Comfortable working in a pressurized environment.
