About the role

RCL FOODS is looking for an energetic and detail‑oriented Debtors Clerk to join our finance team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will manage credit exposure, maintain and reconcile the debtors ledger, issue invoices and credit notes, reconcile statements, and follow up on unpaid accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform period‑ending procedures and adjustments.
• Run preliminary reports and perform reconciliations.
• Analyze report data and prepare debtors statements.
• Receive electronic payments, post payments in the system and apply cash to outstanding invoices.
• Monitor unapplied cash accounts and contact customers about late payments.
• Escalate late payment issues to management and resolve claim discrepancies.
• Process credit notes, discounts, and rebates.
• Open new customer accounts in JDE for suppliers and drivers.
• Track claims, ensuring none exceed 30 days.

Requirements

Education & qualifications

• Matric certificate.
• 3‑4 years’ experience in a credit control/debtors clerk role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with JDE or another ERP system is advantageous.
