Job Purpose
The Co‑Op Student will provide administrative support to the Fixtures, Fittings & Equipment Team in the Properties department. The role involves consolidating, maintaining and communicating store opening dates, as well as handling general administration tasks. A self‑starter with strong customer orientation, organisational ability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to determine required fixtures and fittings.
- Order fixtures and fittings from suppliers and track delivery schedules.
- Conduct site visits as needed.
- Prepare cost estimates for installation projects.
- Ensure installations comply with specifications, building codes, and regulations.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform quality control checks to confirm proper function before project hand‑over.
- Support diary management, travel coordination, and scheduling of meetings.
- Maintain the divisional SharePoint site, enforcing naming conventions and document formatting.
- Assist with day‑to‑day tasks, overflow duties, and project coordination as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Currently studying towards a Diploma in Engineering, Procurement, Building, or a related field.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
