About the Role
The Logistics Administrator is the backbone of our fleet and transport operations. You will support the company’s vehicles, drivers, and all logistics needs across Seriti Green sites and offices. In addition to administrative duties, you will sometimes step in as a backup driver.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet and Vehicle Administration
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of all company vehicles, including registration, licence renewals, and insurance.
- Track vehicle licences, roadworthy certificates and other regulatory compliance items.
- Ensure each vehicle carries the required safety equipment (fire extinguisher, first‑aid kit, warning triangle, reflective vest, etc.).
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and arrange servicing through approved providers.
- Coordinate with Finance to keep insurance claims and premiums current.
- Act as the primary contact for vehicle tracking systems and e‑tag management.
- Maintain the fleet registry and produce regular status reports on usage, maintenance and compliance.
- Be prepared to drive one of the company vehicles when required.
- Transport Coordination and Scheduling
- Manage the vehicle booking system and allocate vehicles based on business needs.
- Assign daily and weekly tasks to the Shuttle Driver for efficient route planning.
- Verify that all staff booking vehicles hold a valid driver’s licence and are authorised.
- Plan logistics for employee, visitor and stakeholder transport to project sites, airports and meetings.
- Monitor travel logs, fuel usage and kilometre records for accuracy and budget control.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all vehicles and drivers follow Seriti Green’s Journey Management and Health & Safety policies.
- Stay updated with South African road regulations and company vehicle policies.
- Report incidents, accidents or maintenance issues promptly to HR or the relevant manager.
- Maintain proper documentation for all compliance and safety checks.
- Handle sensitive information about personnel and transport operations with discretion.
- Administrative Coordination
- Maintain organised filing systems (digital and hard copy) for all fleet and logistics documents.
- liaise with service providers for maintenance, repairs, tracking devices, toll or tag queries.
- Assist with procurement and delivery logistics as needed.
- Prepare and submit fleet utilisation, cost and maintenance reports to management.
- Support HR and Operations with transport planning for events, site visits and training.

- Communicate clearly about travel schedules, delays or route changes.
- Maintain confidentiality when transporting stakeholders or handling goods.

Education & Experience
- Minimum: Grade 12 (Matric).
- Preferred: Diploma or certificate in Logistics, Fleet Management, Administration or related field.
- 3–5 years of administrative experience in logistics, fleet management or operations.
- Knowledge of road safety, vehicle maintenance and compliance documentation.
- Valid South African Code 8 (EB) driver’s licence.
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with fleet record‑keeping, logbooks and journey management protocols.
