Receptionist / Office Co‑ordinator
Sandvik Rock Processing is looking for a friendly and organised individual to join our team in Spartan, Kempton Park, Gauteng. The role reports to the Human Resources Manager and offers a chance to work in an international, high‑tech environment focused on excellence and sustainability.
About the Role
The Receptionist / Office Co‑ordinator will be the first point of contact for visitors, suppliers and staff, and will manage the day‑to‑day operations of our office. Key responsibilities include:
- Front‑Desk Management – greet visitors, handle calls, maintain visitor logs and access control, and coordinate courier services.
- Office Administration – keep the workplace clean and organised, manage stationery supplies, book meeting rooms, and handle general office maintenance requests.
- Vendor Coordination – liaise with cleaning, security, maintenance and other service providers; obtain quotes and ensure agreements are followed.
- Business Support – assist with travel bookings, staff events, training sessions, HR inductions, and basic document processing.
- Health, Safety & Compliance – maintain first‑aid supplies, enforce visitor sign‑in procedures, and report any facility risks promptly.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in reception, customer service or office administration.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Professional verbal and written communication.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Reliability, integrity and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Preferred:
- Certificate or diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience operating a switchboard and managing front‑of‑house environments.
- Experience coordinating office facilities and suppliers.
