About the Job

The internship is a chance to work in the QC Lab at BASF’s Dispersion Plant in Umbogintwini Industrial Complex. You will work under the supervision of the QC Lab Technician, providing analytical services to production and logistics teams while following BASF’s safety, environment, and quality standards.

What You Can Expect

As a QC Intern you will be responsible for ensuring product quality and consistency through rigorous testing, precise data recording, and strict adherence to procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of production samples to confirm quality and consistency.
• Maintain an accurate schedule for equipment service, internal verifications, and external calibrations.
• Track and reorder laboratory consumables to prevent testing delays.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and safe.
• Analyze production results, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis (COA) and complete logistics documentation.
• Follow BASF’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

What You Bring

• Completion of a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry (S4 level).
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills, managing time, resources, and priorities effectively.
• Clear and professional communication, fostering teamwork and smooth information exchange.
• A willingness to learn and take responsibility from day one.
