Programme Overview

We are launching an Engineering Learnership Programme at the Mogalakwena mine. The programme is designed for 18‑to‑21‑year‑old unemployed individuals who are keen to build practical skills in mining engineering. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised Artisan qualification.

Training Components

  • Structured classroom instruction (off‑the‑job)
  • Hands‑on workplace training on the mine site

  • Rigger (2 slots)

  • Millwright (2 slots)
  • Measurement Control & Instrumentation (1 slot)

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science, and English (each ≥ 40% pass)
  • OR N3 or higher with all required subjects, or an NCV Level 4 in the relevant trade with a ≥ 40% pass
  • Specific discipline requirements (e.g., Boilermaker: Plating & Structural Steelwork; Electrician: Electrotechnology, Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings)
