Job Summary

We are looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate Wellness Officer, a Social Worker, to support the mental and emotional well‑being of the Fidelity Services Group workforce. The role will coordinate counselling, workshops, first‑aid training and other well‑being initiatives across the Limpopo region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counselling for employees and immediate families.
  • Plan and conduct quarterly workshops on stress, anxiety, depression and resilience.
  • Lead Mental Health First Aid training and facilitate new Master Trainers.
  • Support bereavement care: set up support groups and schedule grief counselling within one week of an incident.
  • Organise on‑site health screening (blood pressure, glucose, BMI) and follow‑up awareness sessions.
  • Create financial literacy workshops and pre‑retirement planning sessions for employees aged 50‑60.
  • Collaborate with HR, COIDA and other departments to deliver timely support.
  • Maintain confidential records and report to the National Wellness Manager monthly.
  • Use internal communications (email, posters, FESS, EVP team sessions) to promote well‑being programmes.
  • Facilitate team building and skills development activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or Matric certificate.
  • Degree in Social Work.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a social worker in the state of employment.
  • Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
  • Experience delivering counselling/support in a mental health or wellness setting.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Sepedi, Xitsonga or Tshevenda is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

  • Experience with workplace mental‑health programmes.
  • Knowledge of local community mental‑health resources.
  • Experience in financial literacy and retirement planning.
