Job Summary
The Heavy Vehicle Driver will safely operate and maintain heavy trucks, ensuring timely delivery of loads while complying with all safety and regulatory standards. The role reports to the Engineering Foreman and is based at the Mokopane facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently, following work instructions and orders.
- Perform pre‑drive inspections and daily vehicle checks, reporting any issues.
- Maintain the vehicle according to the scheduled maintenance programme.
- Prepare accurate shift reports and load paperwork.
- Adhere to heavy‑duty driving regulations and company safety policies.
- Attend safety meetings and raise any safety concerns to the supervisor or safety representative.
- Communicate effectively with team members and report process‑related issues.
- Assist engineering staff with vehicle maintenance when required.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 education.
- Valid EBA/Code 08 driver’s licence.
- Valid Code C1, C, EC1, EC licences.
- Code 10 licence and Public Drivers Permit are desirable.
- 1–3 years of heavy vehicle driving experience.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work safely in a team.

<liAbility to handle hazardous materials safely, if required.
<liEmergency response capability in case of accidents or incidents.
<liTechnical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
