Job Summary

The Ward Hostess role is critical to ensuring patients receive the correct meals as directed by doctors and patients. The incumbent will maintain high standards of service, hygiene, and safety in the Healthwise unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate meals to patients following doctor and patient instructions.
• Complete and manage menu cards and meal orders.
• Ensure patient water carafes and glasses are clean and that ample ice water is available throughout the day.
• Serve tea promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain company and hospital standards and procedures at all times.
• Provide courteous and helpful service to patients.
• Assist in the preparation of meals, especially salads and desserts.
• Ensure customer‑service, health & safety, and food‑service quality standards are met.
• Maintain a high level of customer service within the area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Minimum requirement: Matric (Grade 12). No specific further qualifications are required.
