Position Overview
This role is for a Vehicle Patrol Officer responsible for patrolling client sites and responding to any alerts or emergencies forwarded from the monitoring centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarise yourself with the patrol area and client premises.
- Maintain response times as required by management.
- Utilise the shortest and safest routes within the area.
- Conduct thorough security checks of client sites.
- Follow up with clients after serious incidents and provide assistance.
- Pay special attention to all radio calls and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Assist with problem resolution and complaints handling.
- Perform public relations duties, including introductory calls to new clients.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of clients at all times.
- Show empathy and listen attentively to client concerns.
- Provide full feedback to clients when necessary.
- Maintain professional appearance and uniform etiquette.
- Participate in daily parade and comply with standing operating procedures.
- Keep the crime‑investigation vehicle in a clean and presentable condition.
- Complete daily or weekly checklists and maintain personal hygiene.
- Document and submit comprehensive reports and feedback as requested.
- Follow correct radio procedures as prescribed by ADT Security.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of information both upwards and downwards.
- Mention that the workstation or office remains neat and tidy.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
- Acquire expert knowledge of all aspects pertaining to the position.
- Refrain from using the company telephone for personal calls.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 10 education.
- PSIRA Registered Grade C & AR.
- Firearm competency.
- Valid driver’s licence held for at least 2 years.
- Master driver capabilities (preferred).
- Knowledge of the local area.
