Job Overview

You will operate cashier shifts during regular working hours, weekends, and public holidays, and manage entrance gates at various pay pools within Region 6. Your role includes handling cash, preparing documents, and ensuring accurate income reporting.

Salary Scale: R254,808 – R353,892 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Handle cash, prepare documents, and bank money in accordance with MFMA rules and regulations.
• Ensure accuracy of income generated at pay points and follow prescribed protocols.
• Report any challenges immediately as they arise.
• Assist the public with information requests as the first point of contact.
• Communicate effectively with visitors and the public.

Requirements

• Grade 12 with Accounting or Mathematics.
• Minimum six months of relevant cashier experience, including handling high cash volumes.
• Liability to pay for any shortages incurred.
• Computer literacy.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check (fingerprints taken by TMPD at own cost).
• Willingness and ability to work shifts and overtime.
