Position Summary
The Service Advisor will lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations at the point of sale. This role ensures efficient service, accurate cash handling, effective stock management, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Job Objectives
- Direct and control all POS operations in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure safe management of stock and cash, minimize shrinkage, and maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Train and motivate shop assistants and cashiers to deliver service excellence.
- Maintain adequate staffing in line with schedules, company policies, and labour legislation.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and in accordance with company policy.
- PROMOTE the Clicks Clubcard and help achieve participation targets.
- Implement security measures, cash controls, and returns policies to reduce stock loss.
- Represent the Clicks brand with a friendly, professional presence.
- Support the group’s vision by living and promoting our values.
- Stay updated on product ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.
Knowledge Required
- Understanding of financial management principles.
- Background in retail/FMCG and knowledge of merchandising and promotion principles.
- Familiarity with stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures.
- Strong customer service knowledge.
- Knowledge of labour legislation and industrial relations practices.
- Experience with competency‑based interviewing.

Education and Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Relevant retail or business management qualification (for external applicants).
