Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Cleaner to maintain a clean and neat store in Bedford Square. The role covers all areas, including the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office and canteen.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily high‑standard hygiene and cleanliness before the store opens and throughout operational hours.
• Develop routines to keep all areas spotless.
• Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean, stocked and presentable at all times.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for each task.
• Display the wet‑floor sign correctly while cleaning floors.
• Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow all Health and Safety regulations.

Essential Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Minimum 6 months of cleaning experience.
• Good command of the English language.
• Basic customer‑service skills.
• Willingness and ability to work retail hours.

Advantageous (Nice to Have)

• Previous retail store cleaning experience.
• Bilingual ability, especially in local languages.
