About the Role
The Stores Assistant will support the Branch Manager in managing the day‑to‑day operations of the Centurion branch and its warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming stock, and prepare items for storage.
- Dispatch stock to customers or other locations, ensuring accurate packing.
- Process internal sales picking slips and update stock bin cards.
- Assist customers in picking up orders and handle necessary paperwork.
- If required, perform cable cutting accurately.
- Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular stock takes.
- Provide excellent customer service to in‑store visitors.
- Aid in loading and unloading shipments and allocate stock to correct areas.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
- Adhere to all security, safety and housekeeping procedures.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Branch or Stores Manager.
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification (required).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a store or warehouse environment (preferred).
- Good knowledge of our products.
- Familiarity with standard warehouse processes.
- Understanding of safety standards and use of protective clothing.
