Job Purpose

The Stock Controller will manage all front‑and back‑of‑house stock for a Food & Beverage (F&B) branch. You will keep accurate records, ensure stock is stored safely, and reduce waste. You will work closely with the F&B supervisor and manager to keep the branch running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and issue F&B branch stock, keeping accurate records of all movements.
  • Maintain the back‑of‑house stockroom, ensuring it remains organised and clean.
  • Record all stock issued to the front of house and sign off receipts.
  • Conduct daily stock counts and report any variances, wastage or breakage.
  • Close out daily reconciliation of stock and submit variance reports to the F&B manager.
  • Monitor expiry dates and rotate stock appropriately to minimise losses.
  • Place and approve orders with suppliers, ensuring goods received match orders and quality standards.
  • Document all deliveries via the GRV process, storing delivery notes and invoices accurately.
  • Facilitate stock transfer between branches following company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate entries in the GAAP system and prepare regular stock reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Support the F&B POS system by handling voids and customer queries.
  • Manage and supervise the store man and stock clerks, ensuring high standards of stock control.
  • Carry out any other duties required to support the branch.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in stock or inventory management.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
  • Strong sense of accountability and teamwork.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.

  • Experience in the food & beverage industry.
  • Completed Matric.
