About the Job
This is a permanent, entry‑level role in the FMCG and supply‑management sector. As a shop assistant and cashier you will deliver excellent customer service, manage point‑of‑sale (POS) operations, maintain accurate cash handling, and promote the Clicks clubcard to meet participation targets.
You will also support store merchandising, housekeeping, and store visual standards and keep updated on product ranges, promotions and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all operational activities at the POS efficiently and accurately.
- Scan merchandise and collect payments accurately, processing clubcard rewards.
- Handle cash safely at all times.
- Enroll new clubcard members to achieve participation targets.
- Inform customers about promotions to boost sales.
- Act as a brand ambassador, offering friendly and professional service.
- Maintain merchandising and general housekeeping to visual and store standards.
- Support Clicks’ vision as South Africa’s leading health and beauty retailer.
- Stay up‑to‑date on products, ranges, promotions and events.
Required Knowledge
- Basic arithmetic skills.
