Job Description

Dis‑Chem Pharmacies is looking for a friendly and detail‑oriented Gift Wrapper to join our team. In this role you will help customers finish their shopping experience by wrapping their purchases beautifully with paper, ribbons, bows, and tape. Your main aim is to create a warm, welcoming feel for our shoppers and ensure each package looks professional and ready for gifting.

Key Responsibilities

• Gift Wrapping:
  • Assist customers in choosing the right wrapping materials.
  • Wrap each gift accurately style guidelines, ensuring neat lines, correctly used tape and a tidy finish.
  • Remove price tags from items inside the package and attach a gift receipt inside the wrap.
  • Organise wrapped packages in the designated storage area, keeping the station clean and ready for the next batch.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the store manager.
• Customer Service:
  • Greet shoppers with a friendly smile and ask how you can help.
  • Answer questions and resolve any wrapping or product‐related concerns quickly and politely.
  • Wear the correct uniform and name badge at all times to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviour by staff or customers to your manager immediately.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or Senior Certificate.
• South African citizenship.
• Medical Impediment Examination (MIE) cleared.
• Clear criminal history and good credit record.

Essential Skills & Competencies

• Attention to detail – you meet the company’s high standards for neat and tidy packaging.
• Basic customer‑service skills – you communicate clearly, listen and respond helpfully.

Remuneration

Stipend (exact amount to be discussed during interview).
