Job Purpose
Provide maintenance services to parks, sports facilities, cemeteries, and other open spaces in Tshwane by cutting grass and performing general upkeep to enhance the environment and ensure safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut grass in decorative parks, play areas, traffic islands, and city facilities.
- Maintain grass at malls, squares, boulevards, sports venues, cemeteries, crematoria, resorts, and both developed and undeveloped sites.
- Cater to city facilities such as crèches, old‑age homes, hostels, and fire stations.
- Operate allocated lawnmowers, brush cutters, and other equipment safely.
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 guidelines in all operations.

Requirements
- Basic literacy; ability to read, write, and follow machine instructions.
- Relevant experience operating a brush cutter or lawnmower (preferred).
- Physical fitness, no back problems, able to work shifts.
- Must pass a criminal record check and allow fingerprints to be taken by Tshwane Metro Police at own cost.
