Position Overview
Ivanplats, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is developing a world‑class palladium‑rhodium‑nickel‑copper‑gold project near Mokopane. We are looking for an experienced LHD operator to safely load and transport ore within the underground mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate LHD equipment to achieve mining targets as outlined in the mining plan.
- Minimise machine damage by following good operating practices.
- Load and haul material to underground tip excavations and trucks.
- Assist the Load & Haul miner with workplace Safe Declaration.
- Refuel and clean the machine at the end of each working shift.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
Requirements
- Matric / NQF Level 4.
- LHD operator training certificate or licence.
- At least 2 years of experience as an LHD operator.
- Competent B certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year practical experience operating LHD in an underground environment.
- Medical Certificate of Fitness to work underground.
- Knowledge of underground trackless mobile equipment practices and operations.
