About the Role
The Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines is advancing the development of a world‑class palladium‑rhodium‑nickel‑copper‑gold project near Mokopane. This miner uses modern, mechanised underground mining methods and the latest technology. We are looking for a Crusher Operator to help operate and maintain key crushing and conveyor equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate crushers, conveyor systems, and apron feeders in a mining environment.
- Perform basic maintenance on crusher belts and apron feeders.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent unsafe actions.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 (high school) qualification or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience operating crushers, conveyor systems, and apron feeders in a mining setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) from local communities around the Ivanplats Platreef mine.
- Women candidates.
