About the Programme
The Engineering Learnership Programme offers a structured learning and professional development pathway for recent graduates or students in engineering disciplines. Participants will gain hands‑on experience and build the skills required for a successful career in the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers on project tasks and within engineering teams.
- Participate in site safety, compliance and operational training.
- Support the implementation of engineering solutions and process improvements.
- Record, analyse and report on project data and progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
- South African citizenship.
- Matriculation with pure Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
- Overall pass rate of at least 60 % in final year (no postponed or failed subjects).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and management potential.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, CAD preferred).
- Clear criminal record – security clearance certificate required.
- Valid medical fitness certificate from Barberton Mines issued within 21 days of offer acceptance.
