1. Administrative Officer – Pretoria Central (Human Settlements Department)

About the position

The Administrative Officer in the Human Settlements Department, Office of the Group Head, will provide essential administrative, registry, and archive support to enable the department to run smoothly. The role involves maintaining filing systems, handling correspondence, and ensuring accurate record keeping.

Salary

  • Salary scale: R254,808 – R353,892 per annum
  • Estimated total package: R357,290 – R483,405 per annum

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in an administrative support role
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Must undergo a criminal record check (fingerprints by TMPD at own cost)

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage registry and filing systems
  • Retrieve, archive, and track documents
  • Handle photocopying, reproduction, and correspondence
  • Maintain control sheets and diarise documents
  • Assist with general administrative functions
  • Provide relief during staff absences

The Administrative Officer (Energy & Electricity, Region 5) will support the Regional Operations Office in Rayton through records management, logistics, and office coordination.
