Internship: Liaison & Public Relations

Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated student to support our communication and public liaison activities. The role will provide hands‑on experience in creating internal and external media, managing social media content, and coordinating stakeholder engagement events.

- Duration: Up to 18 months (not exceeding 18 months)
- Remuneration: R10 109,86 per month (basic salary, no benefits)
- Location: Temporary – JD House, 7th Floor, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein (Johannesburg)

- Closing Date: 20 November 2025
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations (minimum 360 credits).
- Residents of the City of Johannesburg only.
Primary Functions
- Provide administrative and creative support to the Business Management Support Directorate.
- Create and publish internal media such as the departmental newsletter.
- Assist in public liaison, event communication, and programme documentation.
- Manage social media content for the department and its directorate.
Key Learning Areas
- Drafting internal and external communication materials.
- Layout, design, and content compilation for the departmental newsletter.
- Support public liaison and event communication.
- Prepare and analyze content for departmental and directorate social media pages.
- Administrative, coordination, and record‑keeping support for communication and stakeholder management.

- Familiarity with internal communication channels, social media platforms, and digital content management.
- Basic understanding of stakeholder management and event communication.
