The Department of Employment and Labour invites qualifying South African graduates to apply for the 2025‑2027 Graduate Internship Programme. The programme offers 24 months of structured experience across a range of public service functions. All applicants must be unemployed graduates, have no prior internship experience, and be South African citizens.

  3. Complete the online application form.
  4. Attach a recent CV.
  5. If you have a foreign qualification, have it evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA); only NQF Level 6 or above with 360 credits is accepted.

All applications must be submitted using the new Z83 application form. If you use the old form, your application will not be considered.

Closing Date

Applications will close on 21 November 2025 at 16:00 (walk‑in) and 00:00 (midnight) for online.

Selection

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit certified copies of:

  • Academic transcripts (qualifications with 360/480 credits recognised by SAQA)
  • ID copy

Shortlisted candidates will undertake a pre‑entry practical exercise. They may be required to attend assessments and interviews at a time, date and place determined by the Department.
